Beaverton, Oregon (March 31, 2026) — The Springs Living has announced two senior leadership promotions: Amy Brown is now senior vice president of operations and Bryan Hays has been appointed senior vice president of finance.
“The decision to promote Amy and Bryan to senior vice president roles reflects our belief that the best way to grow and sustain a quality culture is from within; through the elevation of talented internal leaders, we are strengthening our foundation and ability to drive operational and financial strategy into the future,” said Brenda Connelly, president of The Springs Living. “Amy and Bryan were the natural choices for these roles, demonstrating that leadership can be strategic yet hands-on, empathetic yet decisive, visionary yet grounded.”
Senior Vice President of Operations Amy Brown
As senior vice president of operations, Brown will oversee operations at the organization’s 23 communities as well as ancillary and new business operations, where she will help drive forward-facing operational strategy.
“In an industry that demands operational excellence and genuine compassion, Amy maintains professionalism while never losing sight of the human impact of her decisions,” Connelly said. “She navigates complex operational realities with clarity and discipline, yet does so with an emotional intelligence that is both grounded and intentional. She truly cares about our residents and the teams that serve them and works daily to inspire and operationalize continuous improvement in quality.”
Brown has been with The Springs Living nearly 12 years, first as executive director of The Springs at Carman Oaks in Lake Oswego, Oregon, then regional director of operations, and, since 2023, vice president of new business and innovation. In that most recent role, she has led new community start-ups and acquisitions, provided leadership through lease-up and stabilization phases, and directed the development and operational oversight of new ancillary business ventures.
Prior to her time at The Springs Living, Brown served more than a decade in executive director and administrator roles in the senior living field. She has been active with the Oregon Long Term Care Administrators Board and the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Brown graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in health care administration and holds a certificate from Oregon State in gerontology. In 2024, she became a certified senior housing investment professional.
Senior Vice President of Finance Bryan Hays
As senior vice president of finance, Hays is responsible for overseeing organizational financial strategy and performance. He directly supports the finance teams, including financial planning and analysis, asset management, and acquisition and development.
“Bryan brings real-world operational knowledge and a deep understanding of our organization to everything he does, always keeping residents, staff, and key stakeholder relationships at the center,” Connelly said. “He has a gift for simplifying complex concepts so that the right people can come together and align around solutions that truly move the needle. That’s what makes him such a powerful driver of quality and meaningful results.”
Hays brings more than a decade of industry experience to The Springs Living and most recently served as its vice president of development and acquisition, where he would oversee day-to-day activities of the company’s development and acquisition pursuits and was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, financing and integrating new investments and strategic relationships.
Prior to that, his roles within The Springs Living have included development director, real estate development manager, and earlier community-based positions that helped shape his foundation in the organization, including work in plant operations and dining services.
Hays has also held positions at Fairway America within its Transactions and Investor Relations Groups. While there, he underwrote and closed acquisitions for several of its investment funds. In this capacity, he analyzed potential acquisitions and redevelopment opportunities across different capital structures and asset classes.
Hays graduated from University of Denver – Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate with a Master of Science in real estate and the built environment. He also has a Bachelor of Science in finance from Oregon State University.
