Recognition reflects nearly 30 years of leadership advancing the future of aging, caregiving, and senior living

As The Springs Living marks 30 years, Founder and CEO Fee Stubblefield hopes his recognition as a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2026 Mountain West Award will help elevate visibility for one of the most important societal conversations facing families today: aging, housing, caregiving, and workforce sustainability.

“This recognition matters because it helps elevate our profession.” Fee said recently. “What we do impacts every family that has parents, grandparents and friends and relatives aging. Our profession deserves more visibility and recognition. This can help impact public policy and budgets, and showcase our workforce. It shines a light on the people dedicating their lives to caring for older adults and the challenges impacting every family as our population ages.”

For nearly four decades, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year has recognized leaders who are redefining industries and creating long term impact.

Being chosen as a finalist reflects nearly 30 years spent challenging traditional assumptions around senior living by investing in workforce culture, rethinking community design, and building long term models centered on belonging, dignity, and care quality. Under his leadership, The Springs Living helped pioneer integrated senior living models while maintaining a long-term commitment to quality over short term exit strategies.

As demand for senior housing and healthcare support accelerates nationwide, Fee has continued pushing the conversation beyond operations and into broader questions around how society supports aging populations, caregivers, and families.

The recognition comes at a pivotal moment for the senior living industry and the broader conversations shaping the future of aging and care in America.
