Vancouver, Washington — August 23, 2023 — Drew Shaffer has been appointed the executive director of The Springs at The Waterfront, a 250-unit senior living community with a contemporary Northwest aesthetic that is set to open in Vancouver, Washington, in 2024. As executive director, Shaffer will assemble the community team, hiring based on shared values that drive quality outcomes. He will direct all aspects of community operations, including resident experience, operational performance, and culture-building for the team.

Shaffer has 17 years in senior housing leadership in Clark County, Washington. Most of that time was spent as an executive director and regional director of operations for The Quarry Senior Living and as executive director and administrator at Glenwood Place Senior Living. He has an associate degree in business administration from Lower Columbia College and an assisted living administrator license from the State of Washington.
