The Springs Living Breaks Ground at the Vancouver Waterfront

Vancouver, Wash., April 19, 2022 – Today, The Springs Living broke ground on its property along the Columbia River where The Springs at The Waterfront will be built in Vancouver, Wash. Designed as an optimum environment for the health and well-being of residents and staff, the community has been designed with the intention of meeting the rigorous standards for LEED Silver certification which rates systems for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of green buildings, as well as FitWel certification which uses evidence-based design and operational strategies to optimize occupant health.

“We have seen continuing growth and development throughout the city during the last two years,” Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle said. “The goal of our Waterfront Development Project is to provide a dynamic and vibrant mixed-use space for all in our community. This senior living community, with its emphasis on supporting the holistic wellness of its active residents, is a welcome addition to the diversity of development that the waterfront offers.”

The community will feature a spa and wellness center, an indoor pool, and multiple dining venues that reflect the company’s Art of Delicious philosophy of using local and fresh ingredients. Inside the community, Fancho’s Public House will offer residents casual fare and a full bar. The Springs at The Waterfront will provide a continuum of care options for its residents, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

“The Springs at The Waterfront will reflect the culmination of our 25 years of experience in creating environments that help people thrive,” said Fee Stubblefield, founder and CEO of The Springs Living. “In 2022, that includes incorporating lessons learned from the pandemic The Springs Living, LLC 3330 SE Three Mile Lane, McMinnville, OR 97128 | 503.435.2323 to keep people safe and living well. Our commitment to providing the healthiest environment possible has never been stronger.”

Conveniently located at The Waterfront Vancouver, just eight miles north of Portland, The Springs at The Waterfront will stand 12 stories high with commanding views of the Columbia River. Situated along the south-facing riverfront, residents will have easy access to top restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and a half-mile waterfront path that is ideal for strolling and outdoor activities.

The Springs at The Waterfront will provide a mix of floorplans that feature stunning views of the Columbia River and surrounding mountains. Interior spaces will be warm and inviting and feature high-end amenities and services suitable to an urban setting, including secure underground parking.

The grand opening for the community is anticipated in the first half of 2024. The community will create over 100 jobs in Washington State to serve the anticipated 250 older adults expected to move in once it is opened. The community design was created by Portland-based GBD Architects. PMB, a healthcare real estate developer based in San Diego, Calif., is the development partner for the project, and the contractor is Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company based in Portland, Ore.
