Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if Assisted Living is right for me?

If you are requiring assistance with activities of daily living such as management of your medication, personal hygiene, dressing or grooming, then assisted living is probably a good fit over independent living. All residents will meet with qualified health services personnel for a thorough assessment prior to move in.

How is my level of care determined?

When you move in, our nurse will confidentially meet with you (and your family, if applicable) to assess your needs and determine what would be appropriate for your care. We will continue to meet with you every three months to ensure you are receiving the care you need.

What if my partner needs assisted living and I do not?

Even if you are fully independent and require no care, you are welcome to live with your loved one in an assisted living apartment. You will only pay for the care your partner needs.

How do I know I can afford living here?

When looking into options for retirement living, comparing costs can be overwhelming. We invite you to fill out the Cost Comparison Worksheet for a better understanding of your current monthly expenses. Many of your most common bills are already included in monthly rent at The Springs at Sherwood.
