The Register-Guard, July 9, 2015 Senior housing project to start construction on Greer Gardens site, Eugene, Oregon

As early as next month, bulldozers and excavators will clear out much of Greer Gardens’ 14-acre wooded site to make way for a new neighbor: a 216-unit senior and assisted living center.

After more than a year navigating Eugene’s land use and zoning process, Greer and The Springs Living applied for building permits this month for 198 of the 216 planned units.

“It’s a next-generation community. It’s going to be a pretty significant venture,” said Fee Stubblefield, CEO of The Springs Living. Read more

“There was quite a turnout; a lot of people there,” Bonamici said, adding that the seniors were not solely concerned about issues directly affecting senior citizens.

“They were really interested in a whole range of issues, including education and environmental issues,” she said.

Lake Oswego, Oregon August 27, 2014, Lake Oswego Review - The Springs Completes Major Facelift

The Springs Living, a locally owned and operated senior housing company, unveiled its newly renovated property, The Springs at Carman Oaks, recently.

The project, with oversight from Todd Construction, combined the comfort and convenience of a resort with the friendliness of an old-fashioned neighborhood, turning senior living into a resort-like experience.

The newly renovated property includes a swimming pool and spa, outdoor gardens featuring rose, herb and vegetable patches, an onsite pub, wellness and fitness areas and a theater. A new deck with covered seating, fireplace and grill area has easy access to and from the dining area.

The Springs at Carman Oaks is located at 3800 Carman Drive in Lake Oswego.

Environments for Aging - The Springs at Carman Oaks Unveils Completed Renovation Project

The Springs Living has unveiled its newly renovated property in the Lake Oswego, Ore., neighborhood.

The project at The Springs at Carman Oaks, with oversight from Todd Construction, combines the comfort and convenience of a resort with the friendliness of an old-fashioned neighborhood, turning senior living into a resort-like experience.

Highlights of the remodel include a renovated restaurant-style dining area with new ceiling and custom lighting; a new deck with covered seating, fireplace, grilling area, and easy access to and from the dining area; and a new reception and office area, including a center fireplace.

Medford, Ore. -- Two Medford retirement communities now have new owners.

Mcminnville-based "Springs Living" bought Veranda Park and Anna Maria Creekside for $51.1-million.

Fee Stubblefield, the owner of "Springs Living," says some changes will be made but he hopes to keep the culture of the communities intact "The changes that are going to happen here are going to be additive and enhancing, and are going to create a better quality of life for the residents."

"Springs Living" will take over management and operations of both complexes on July first.
