Ed Bonham, a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon since 1978, was featured in a One-Man Art Show at The Springs at Mill Creek Friday, June 27th. Bonham’s art has been displayed at Maryhill Museum, The Dalles Art Center and other galleries across the North West.
The story Ed tells is that while in the third grade he was told by a teacher that he didn’t have the talent to be an artist. Ed was not discouraged, however, and to this day continues his love of painting. Ed enjoys painting landscapes of places he traveled including Ireland, England, Australia, New Zealand and much of the U.S.
He has lived in The Dalles since 1955 while working for OSU extension services and their 4H program. In 2009, Ed moved to The Springs at Mill Creek and continues to paint.
A special message goes out to Ed’s third grade teacher that Ed sold four paintings at the show.
