Some like it hot!! The Woods at Willowcreek held an outdoor Boot Scootin Boogie fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Network of Oregon July 30th. It happened to fall on the hottest day of the week with a temperature of 105 in the shade! Despite the heat the event was successful at raising $1,100!
There were a variety of cheerful vendors who kept it interesting for attendees, volunteers ran carnival type games, the food was delicious, and many a people walked away winners of great prizes that were donated by local businesses! Each vendor shared their own personal story explaining their involvement in this fundraising event.
We had misting and water stations to keep everyone as cool as we could and hydrated! WDS-DunkTankThe favorite attraction of the day was probably the dunk tank with a waiting line to get dunked, rather to dunk someone else. The $1100 raised at this event plus another $400 previously raised at The Springs at Sunnyview will be given to the Alzheimer’s Network September 12 at their annual Walk 4 Alzheimer’s event.
